IT Support: Calvary Church

The purpose of the IT Support person is to assist in the set up and repair of PCs and other network equipment and to offer support to the Facility Director over the IT Department.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
IT / eSpace Support
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of computer work stations
  • Technical assistance for admins
  • Basic installations of Windows and Mac OS whether install from disk or clone from a disk
  • Set up new computers with additional software as necessary
  • Troubleshoot Mac and Windows OS based computers and devices
  • Repair of existing computers
  • Installation of network equipment (ex. switches, cabling, etc.)
  • Installation of cameras and related equipment (DVR, cameras, cabling)
  • Maintenance, management and troubleshooting of security cameras and associated equipment
  • Make approved purchases of technology resources
  • Provide network accounts and passwords on the Active Directory and Office 365 and act as administrator for all campus computers
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues with computers, cameras, printers, and other technology devices
  • Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate
  • Ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal
  • On campus support for IT infrastructure
  • Overall management of individual department inventory

Key Technical Competencies
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
  • Knowledge of Mac and Window operating systems
  • Some experience with Active Directory
  • Ability to terminate cable.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma, or at least one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Programs – knowledge and experience of the Internet and Microsoft Office software and office equipment
  • Some college experience desirable
