Fine Arts Ministry

Calling all student artists! We’re launching a fine arts ministry for students in grades 6–12, and you’re invited. Bring your gifts of music, visual art or communication to discover how you can use them for a bigger purpose! This is also a great way to meet others who are gifted and interested in the same things as you.

Why Fine Arts?

Simply put, to spread the gospel. Everyone who has received Christ as Savior has been commissioned to be an ambassador for Christ. He is telling the world the good news about Jesus, and he is doing it through you! Whether you sing, play an instrument, dance, design, act or speak, you can be gospel-centered, spirit-empowered and personally responsible for the mission of God.

The A.G. Fine Arts Festival

Fine Arts Festival is a discipleship tool of the Youth Ministries of the Assemblies of God. It is designed to help students hone their ministry gifts. Through Fine Arts Festival, students are given the opportunity to have their skills evaluated by qualified ministers and industry professionals who encourage excellence and inspire students to use their gifts in ministry or secular vocations.

Fine Arts Auditions 2019

If you would like to be a part of the Fine Arts Ministry, attend our audition on Sunday, Feb. 10. Don't let the word "audition" scare you! We are simply using it as an assessment tool of each student's skill level. Whether you are a pro, or just beginning to cultivate your gift, everyone age 12-17 is welcome.

Sunday, Feb. 10
2-6 p.m.
Choir Room

Each student needs to prepare a presentation within their chosen division and present what they have to the Fine Arts leadership team. From there, we will learn each student's skill level, where they are in the presentation planning process, and determine how we can best coach the student and prepare them for the District Fine Arts Festival on April 6 in Decatur, IL.

By participating in our Fine Arts ministry, students will have the opportunity to be coached by a mix of staff members and adult volunteers who have had years of experience in cultivating their specific gift. These leaders want the chance to pour into these students and see them grow in their gift! Our goal is to prepare students to participate in the District Fine Arts Festival on April 6 in Decatur. If they get through District, there is a chance to go to the National Fine Art Festival in Orlando, FL.

Disclaimer: Participating students must be enrolled in grades 6–12 or be 12 to 17 years of age as of September 1, 2018
