What Is Encounter?

Encounter is a Spirit-led, soul-refreshing, power-filled women’s church conference hosted at Calvary Church in Naperville, IL. This two-day experience is built around authentic worship, biblical teaching, community connection, and personal transformation.

Whether you're new to faith or a seasoned believer, Encounter is a space to meet with God—to pause, breathe, and see Him more clearly. And as you behold Him, something deeper happens. The Spirit begins a work within you—inner transformation.

New to Encounter this year! At registration, you will get the opportunity to pick two of the sessions below as part of your Saturday experience.

From Overwhelmed to Abiding

Are you running on empty?

This session is for the woman carrying the mental, emotional, and spiritual load. This moves beyond “rest” into abiding—teaching rhythms of surrender, dependence, and Spirit-led living. We’ll learn how to move from self-sustaining strength to living a from a center that is sustained by Christ.


Becoming in the Waiting

What do you do when God’s answer is “not yet”?

This session is for those who are in a waiting season—whether through singleness, marriage struggles, or just longing for an answer. It’s for those who are wanting to trust God with their story. We’ll learn that seasons of waiting are not about being held back or being in lack; they’re about being formed and refined as we trust God.


Breaking Strongholds

Are you held back by chains that keep dragging you down?

This session is for those who are seeking freedom from shame, fear, wounds, abuse, confusion, silence, and more. God offers healing and holy boundaries, and his Word gives us the truth that we need to fight our battles. God has more for you and wants to lead you toward truth, courage, and freedom!

Young Adults Lunch + Panel Convo

Join us for a relaxed time to eat, connect, and have real conversations about life, faith, and everything between. Hear from a panel of leaders as they share honestly about navigating purpose, relationships, and following God in this season. If you’re a young adult, come with your questions. This conversation is for you!
