IT Support: Calvary Christian School and Preschool (full time)

The purpose of the IT Support person is to assist in the set up and repair of PCs and other network equipment and to offer support to the School Principal over the School and Preschool.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
IT/eSpace Support
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of computer work stations
  • Technical assistance for school staff
  • Basic installations from install disk and a clone from a disk imagine
  • Set up new computers with software
  • Assist in the repair of existing computers
  • Assist with installing network equipment (ex. switches, cabling, cameras, etc.)
  • Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources
  • Provide network accounts and passwords as required
  • Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate
  • Ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal
  • Running cable as needed
  • Management of security cameras
  • On campus support for IT infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot for CCS teacher and student technology
  • Provision Student Chromebooks
  • Assist with Chromebook Repairs
  • Ensure internet safety and security systems in place for students
  • Understanding of Google Classroom helpful

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma, or at least one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Programs – knowledge and experience of the Internet and Microsoft Office software and office equipment
