Community Engagement
As fully devoted followers of Christ, we are making a difference in the local church, community and the world.
Our Community Engagement Ministry is making a profound impact. As Matthew 5:16 encourages us, 'Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.' Every act of kindness, every word of encouragement, and every moment spent serving reflects God's love and brings hope to those around us. Together, we are transforming lives and shining God's light brightly in our community.

Back to School
At Calvary Church, we’re committed to investing in the next generation, and our Back to School ministry reflects that mission. Each year, we serve our community within a 5-mile radius, providing students, families, and educators with essential support as they prepare for the school year. This ministry goes beyond supplying backpacks—we offer love, encouragement, and practical help to show that every student and family is valued by God.
We also honor the teachers and mentors who shape young lives, showing them they are supported in their important work. By empowering both students and those who guide them, we’re building a future grounded in faith and hope. At Calvary, we show up for our neighbors, invest in the next generation, and carry the love of Christ into every new season.

Adopt a Block
Calvary Church is wholeheartedly committed to reaching our community, especially those right around us. Through a variety of engagement events and outreach efforts, we’re here to make a difference and bring light where it’s needed most. From hosting sports programs to partnering with impactful organizations like local food pantries and Young Life, we’re working to serve in meaningful ways.
Each of these partnerships and activities reflects our desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus, reaching out with practical help, hope, and connection. Whether it’s through Adopt-a-Block, Back to School, or seasonal initiatives, our heart is to serve our neighbors, build relationships, and shine a light in the darkest places. Calvary is here to make a lasting impact in our community, showing the love of Christ in real and tangible ways.

Miguel Cervantes
Pastor of Community Engagement
My journey with Calvary Church started back in 2016. Little did I know, it would be the beginning of something truly remarkable. It was here at Calvary where I, not only, found a place to worship the one true God, but also where I met the love of my life, my wife, Nicole. I have completely dedicated my life to serving God, loving His people, and teaching His Spirit-breathed-Word. My goal and passion is to reach the lost, guide them to salvation, and equip them to do the work of the kingdom. I believe that as fully devoted followers of Christ, we can make an immense difference within the church and outside of the church in our local communities.
