The Director of Programming & Operations advances the mission of Calvary Christian School by leading the design, implementation, and sustainability of innovative career pathways, academic, and athletic programs for grades 4–12. This role integrates academic vision with operational excellence, building programs that prepare students for college, career, and calling through hands-on learning, competitive athletics, community partnerships, and strategic resource development.
The Director serves as a bridge between education and opportunity, cultivating partnerships with businesses, universities, and industry leaders to expand experiential learning, workforce readiness, and student engagement. Through grant writing, fundraising, and partnership development, this leader secures the financial and community support necessary to sustain and grow the school’s academic, athletic, and career pathways initiatives.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Design and oversee career pathway programs in STEAM, aviation, arts, business, and technology for grades 4–12.
- Collaborate with athletic directors and coaches to strengthen sports programming and student-athlete development.
- Integrate pathway and athletic experiences into the broader school curriculum and culture.
- Develop after-school, summer, and enrichment programs that extend learning and leadership opportunities.
- Evaluate program outcomes and align initiatives with the school’s mission and strategic plan.
Grant Writing & Fundraising
- Research, write, and manage grants that fund program expansion, equipment, and student scholarships.
- Lead fundraising campaigns and donor cultivation efforts tied to program and athletic growth.
- Partner with the Head of School to identify and steward major gifts and sponsorships.
Community & Partnership Development
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local businesses, universities, and athletic organizations.
- Coordinate internship, mentorship, and experiential learning opportunities for students.
- Represent the school at community events, conferences, and partnership meetings.
Operational Leadership
- Oversee program and athletic budgets, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and sustainability.
- Collaborate with administrative teams to align operations with programmatic and athletic goals.
- Support event planning and logistics for showcases, tournaments, exhibitions, and pathway-related initiatives.
Internal Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate effectively with the Head of School, administration, and school associations.
- Communicate proactively with faculty and staff to keep them informed of development initiatives and special event activities.
- Demonstrate professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits.
Event Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate fundraising for school-wide special events such as the Back 2 School Fair, Graduations, Grandparent’s Day, staff success celebrations, and other community-building events.
- Organize and supervise one community fundraiser and one family fundraiser each year.
- Oversee volunteers for events as needed.
- Reserve rooms and spaces for school events.
- May be required to work some nights and weekends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in education, nonprofit management, or related field.
- Proven experience in educational program development, grant writing, fundraising, and partnership cultivation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Passion for Christian education and equipping students for purposeful futures through academics and athletics.
