Compensation: $3,500 per semester course (adjunct-style, W-2 employee position)
Calvary Christian School seeks a full time Secondary Social Science Teacher. Classes will include World History, Cultural Geography, US History, US Government, or advanced Social Science elective. The teacher shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory to God.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Integrate biblical truth and worldview into all science instruction and classroom discussions.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Anatomy & Physiology that align with CCS curriculum standards.
- Design laboratory experiences that emphasize inquiry, observation, and the wonder of God’s creation.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and grades.
- Create a safe, orderly, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and styles.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure vertical alignment and cross-disciplinary integration.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events.
- Support school-wide spiritual formation, chapel, and community service initiatives.
Spiritual Expectations
- Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and model Christian character.
- Participate in prayer, worship, and spiritual growth activities within the school community.
- Encourage students to see God’s design and purpose in scientific study.
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Science Education or related field.
- Experience teaching AP, Honors, or Dual Credit
- Valid teaching certification.
- Demonstrated ability to teach science concepts through a biblical lens.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Calvary Christian School.
