Preschool Director

Position Summary
The Preschool Director will manage all aspects of the daily operation of the children’s center.

Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Supervise all staff members, their schedules, and handle employee issues.
  • Organize and supply continuous staff development and in-service training.
  • Responsible for the over-all planning and supervision of children’s programs and activities.
  • Meet with parents and staff to discuss student’s progress.
  • Set-up and maintain operational policies and procedures.
  • Establish budgets and recommends fees for programs.
  • Maintain all pertinent records regarding staff and children and the administration of the center.
  • Maintain all state licensing requirements.
  • Work with Director of Advancement & Admissions for publicity and student recruitment to full enrollment.
  • Ensure facilities are maintained and cleaned according to state regulations.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience
  • Associate’s or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. If have any other Education degree, must also have a minimum of 21 semester hours of college credit in child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Child Care Director.
  • Programs – knowledge and experience of the Internet and Microsoft Office software and office equipment.
