Lunch and Recess Worker  (CCS, part time)

Calvary Christian School seeks a part-time Lunch and Recess Worker for grades JrK-5. CCS seeks to help students to know God and discover their purpose. We’re looking for a caring, energetic individual to help supervise and support students during lunch and recess. This part-time role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive impact in their day.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Reflect the purpose of the school which is to honor Christ in every activity.
  • Cooperate with the Principal and Lunch and Recess Supervisor in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing lunch and recess.
  • Keep proper discipline in the lunchroom and on the school playground.
  • Supervise students during lunch in the cafeteria.
  • Assist with cleaning tables and maintaining a tidy lunch area.
  • Monitor outdoor and indoor recess activities to ensure safety and inclusion.
  • Encourage respectful behavior and help resolve minor conflicts.
  • Communicate with teachers and staff as needed.
  • Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with students, parents, and administration.
  • Know the procedures for dealing with issues of an emergency nature.
  • Inform the Principal/Executive Team in a timely manner if unable to fulfill any duty assigned.

Education and Experience
  • High School Degree
  • Previous work with school-aged children preferred
