High School Learning Facilitator (CCS, part time)

Pay Rate: $18 per/hour

The Learning Facilitator supports the high school by being an agile and responsive individual who creates an environment that is available to individuals and groups to use for multiple, often simultaneous, purposes. The facilitator supports literacy, numeracy, competency development, and student learning outcomes. The Learning Facilitator provides assistance and supports student access to print and digital resources, including the use of technology for learning in order to enable creation, collaboration, and communication.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Support teachers by overseeing student completion of assignments
  • Assists students with accessing online courses and resources
  • Help students with their academic tasks
  • Manage commons to provide an environment conducive to learning
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students
  • Monitor and record student attendance and progress
  • Supervise student activities and behavior
  • Communicate with administrators, teachers and parents about student progress
  • Attend professional development and training sessions as required by Principal

Education and Experience
  • Associate degree or college hours and library experience
  • Basic knowledge of computers, application software, online courses, Google Classroom
  • Student oriented
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
