Out of Context | Online Sermon Series

What happens when a Bible verse is taken out of context? That's what we'll be exploring in our newest sermon series! Follow along as we dive into how the parts of the Bible mean even more (and are true!) when they fit into the whole message of God's love for us.

We look at common Bible verses taken out of context, including:

  • Philippians 4:13 - Pastor Michael Escamilla teaches us how to be content when everything around us says to give up.
  • Joshua 24:15 - Pastor Marty shows us what it really means for you and your house to serve the Lord.
  • Psalm 46 - Who was God really talking to in Psalm 46:1-10 when he said, “Be still and know that I am God”? Pastor Marty explores the meaning of this psalm.
  • Philippians 4:14-20 - Pastor Marty helps us understand how God will provide for our daily and long-term needs.
  • Jeremiah 29:11 - The context of Jeremiah 29:11 might be the most overlooked, but Pastor Jeff teaches us the historical context of the verse. We also learn how to seek God every day!
