The Academic Services Coordinator oversees the student support services department that provides academic, social, and emotional support to students in need under the direct supervision of the Principal. The Academic Services Coordinator oversees the student support services department that provides academic, social, and emotional support to students in need under the direct supervision of the Principal. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provide small group support and resources for students as needed.
- Work with the local district to provide student evaluations as needed.
- Create and manage student ISPs.
- Support the development of Behavior Intervention Plans, Behavior Support Plans, and 504 Plans.
- Work with parents and teachers to provide student resources.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
- Assist with implementing the accelerated learning program, SOAR, for elementary students.
- Assist with supporting 9th and 10th grade students’ course selection as needed.
- Collaborate with Elementary and Jr High Dean’s on student success committee.
- Manage and oversee teacher aides, reading interventionists, and student service personnel, including Speech and Language, OT, PT, and Counseling services.
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
- Meet with parents regularly to discuss student progress and support.
- Meet with teachers regularly to discuss students' needs and progress.
- Develop a support service program by connecting with community resources to support students with needs.
- Represents CCS as a liaison between social, health, and community agencies dedicated to supporting students and their well-being.
- Collaborates with student support staff to make student support services available and effective for students and parents.
- Keeps records and files on each student receiving services and takes anecdotal notes in FACTS Student Information System.
- Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures and standards for services offered.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Relevant teaching experience
