Our School-age teacher brings warmth, patience, and understanding to their rooms every day, encouraging children to learn and grow. They are committed to making our center successful and know that creating meaningful relationships with children, families, and their team plays a crucial role in that success. The School-age teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing Christian environment with engaging activities to stimulate the school-ager attention. Assist the school-ager with homework. Create age-appropriate activities following the themes of the Kids Club activities for before school hours and after school hours. This is a split-shift position.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Cooperate with the Director and Executive Team in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the School.
- Establish and maintain a developmentally appropriate environment that supports the growth and development of children.
- Plan and conduct developmentally appropriate daily activities for children.
- Turn in written attendance sheets according to the schedule established.
- Observe, record, and report significant individual and group behavior.
- Be responsible for written communication to parents; notes, newsletters, and
- Establish a safe and healthy nurturing environment for children.
- Supervise children by sight and sound at all times.
- Display teaching excellence for other staff; role model, share professional and technical information.
- Follow established schedules.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, well-ordered classroom.
- Keep parents and administration adequately informed of progress or deficiencies.
- Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with students, parents, and administration.
- Attend and participate in scheduled devotional, in-service, faculty, and parent meetings.
- Know the procedures for dealing with issues of an emergency nature.
- Inform the Director/Executive Team in a timely manner if unable to fulfill any duty assigned.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children, as documented in three written references.
