Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities for Reading Interventionist
- Teach approved curricula and interventions.
- Instruct pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter specified by administrative regulations and procedures of the school.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
- Translate lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
- Communicate regularly with parents outside normal classroom day by means of newsletters/notes (electronic or paper), phone calls, conferences, emails, etc.
- Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere.
- Evaluate pupils’ academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, and prepare progress reports.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop supports and best practices to support student success for identified intervention students.
- Administer progress monitoring assessments according to District guidelines.
- Analyze students’ data to determine student progress in the designated intervention.
- Participate in meetings with other school personnel to discuss student progress and make recommendations regarding student placement.
- Regularly conducts fidelity checks in various educational settings.
- Seek out professional growth opportunities and reflects on teaching practices in order to develop and grow professionally.
- Participate in a professional community to contribute to the overall school program.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities Librarian
- Lend and collect books, periodicals, videotapes, and other materials at circulation desks.
- Enter and update students’ records on computers.
- Process new materials, including books, audiovisual materials, and computer software.
- Sort books, publications, and other items according to established procedure and return them to shelves, files, or other designated storage areas.
- Locate library materials for students.
- Instruct students on how to use reference sources and automated information systems.
- Inspect returned books for condition and due-date status, and compute any applicable fines.
- Maintain records of items received, stored, issued, and returned, and file catalog cards according to the system used.
- Perform clerical activities such as filing, typing, word processing, photocopying and mailing out material, and mail sorting.
- Take action to deal with disruptive or problem students.
- Classify and catalog items according to content and purpose.
- Send out notices and accept fine payments for lost or overdue books.
- Repair books using mending tape, paste, and brushes.
- Maintain holiday book displays and theme decor.

- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
