Resource Teacher & Library Assistant (full time)

The Resource Teacher assists the classroom teacher with implementing instruction in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Additionally, the resource teacher provides individualized instruction for students who need additional support. The resource teacher is responsible for developing and implementing an advanced learning program. The library assistant's responsibilities include helping students check books in and out, assisting the librarian with tasks, and helping with two book fairs per year.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Work with students who need extra help and/or practice individually or in small groups.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
- Grade classwork, homework, tests, and assignments
- Provide appropriate feedback on work
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
- Assist classroom teacher with class projects
- Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources, and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities

Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Relevant teaching experience
