Children’s Coordinator

Position Summary
The Kids Coordinator assists the Children's Ministry Pastor and Directors in building and leading a dedicated team to introduce children to the real Jesus. This role ensures the effective execution of the Calvary Kids ministry vision.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Help choose or develop engaging and age-appropriate curriculum for different age groups.
  • Assist in organizing Children Ministry events, (holiday programs, special events etc.)
  • Ensure that all Calvary environments are safe, properly supplied, and meet Calvary ministry standards.
  • Participate in providing feedback on the health of volunteers, curriculum effectiveness, policies, procedures, and overall ministry experience.
  • Help recruit and onboard new volunteers, assist in training volunteers to ensure they are well-prepared and confident in their roles. 
  • Ability to lead and manage all age phases and environments at the Children’s Pastor’s discretion.

Requirements:
  • Passion for teaching and working with children of all ages.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Calvary discipleship process for kids.
  • Provide constructive feedback for Kids Ministry Directors, volunteers, parents, and children when necessary.
  • Ability to lead and manage all age phases and environments at the Children’s Pastor’s discretion.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Education and Experience:
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong commitment to the Christian faith and alignment with the church’s mission and values.
  • Experience in early childhood education, childcare, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a church or nonprofit setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with children, parents, volunteers, and church staff.
