The Director of Advancement and Admissions fulfills the mission of Calvary Christian School by planning, guiding, and evaluating the advancement efforts of the school in fundraising, marketing, event planning, grant writing, communication, alumni affairs, and public relations. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the recruitment of students for admission to Calvary Christian School.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Plan the overall advancement program in keeping with school needs, the Strategic Plan, and budget objectives
  • Ensure effective work practices in financial accounting and reconciliation, database management, gift recording, donor acknowledgment, and stewardship
  • Maintain records on current and prospective donors
  • Develop, implement, and manage all aspects of two major fundraisers per year
  • Create an annual report for all stakeholders each January
  • Establish Community Partnership Program
  • Collaborate effectively with the principal, Parent Ambassadors, school associations and serves as volunteer coordinator
  • Represent and maintain school image and reputation
  • Prepare for the upcoming school year during the summer, including calendar, scheduling, handbooks, new family meet the principal events, and summer open house
  • Part of the administrative team that develops school policies and procedures
  • Oversee continuous enrollment process for current families each January
  • Prepare admission material, including but not limited to admissions packets, postcards, flyers, and other marketing materials, by working closely with the Calvary media department
  • Initiate the new student cumulative record during the enrollment process using FACT SIS
  • Maintain the accuracy of the school’s student/family database and serves as the school resource for questions/training for parents and teachers
  • Communicate effectively with the faculty and staff and keeps them informed of upcoming admission and development activities, as well as special events
  • Responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the company's Social Media strategies to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts and increase enrollment
  • Control all product inventory and ensures the proper assortment of merchandise for the Spirit Shop and for Athletic, Academic and Extra-curricular events
  • Oversee the website’s functionality, evaluate and manage website performance, and develop, maintain and update website content
  • Organize and coordinate office administration and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety
  • Coordinate school-wide special events such as Back 2 School Fair, Graduations, Grandparent’s Day, and any other school events
  • Oversee grant and aid management process with Finance Manager
  • Assist with tuition and fee structure for the upcoming school year
  • Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
  • May be required to work some nights and weekends

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years Advancement or related field preferred
