NXT Kids Childcare Worker

This is a part-time opportunity. Hours vary from 6 to 11 hours per week. NXT Kids Childcare Workers provide high-quality childcare for infants through 4-year olds while parents are engaged in Christian formation experiences at Calvary. It is expected that every childcare worker continues growing and maturing in their relationship with God by regularly attending a service or classes at Calvary Church that does not interfere with their commitment as a childcare worker.

Current Dates and Times:
- Tuesdays from 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
- Every other Thursday from 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
- Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Maintain a lifestyle keeping with Christian character and values.
- Represent Calvary’s Children Ministry in a way that honors God.
- Arrive on time whenever scheduled.
- Provide safe, secure and professional childcare that allows different ministries at Calvary Church the opportunity to involve parents while carrying out their mission.
- Know and adhere to all Children’s Ministry policies and procedures.
- Create and promote a welcoming environment for all kids and their families.
- Make sure every child has an appropriate tag and has been checked into class and accounted for in check-in book.
- Keep proper discipline in rooms and in large group activities.
- Engage with the kids through age-appropriate games, crafts and other activities and help them understand God’s love and purpose for their life.
- Recognize when a child has a special need and be accommodating to the best of your ability in the situation.
- Observe for food allergies and be cautious with kids during snack time.
- Change diapers and/or assist kids in the bathroom.
- Clean and organize rooms after every childcare event.
- Fill out Incident Reports as needed.
- Communicate with Childcare Leader for monthly work schedule agreement.
- Use Planning Center to confirm attendance for events scheduled to work.
- Attend meetings, Summit Event and Children’s Ministry trainings.
- Dress appropriately to work with kids, sit on the floor and be active.
- Inform Childcare Leader in a timely manner if unable to fulfill any task or responsibility.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma
- Experience working with infants and toddlers
- Bilingual Skills (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
