Pastoral Care Administrative Assistant (part-time)

The Pastoral Care Administrative Assistant will be joining a team that shares the care and compassion of Jesus to our Calvary community while uniting under our broad Church vision of knowing God, finding freedom, discovering purpose and making a difference. This part-time position is an opportunity for so much more than a job: It will answer the question, "What can God do through me at Calvary?"

Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Update and manage the Care Tracker daily (the Department’s centralized system surrounding life change and occurrences within the community, across campuses)
  • Organize and maintain calendar/scheduling for Care Visits at facilities/nursing homes for pastors and community of volunteers
  • Participate in the execution of memorials/funeral services
  • Handle sensitive, confidential information and assignments with tact, discretion, and diplomacy
  • Help as needed with in-coming email/care requests and pivot appropriately to pastors/volunteers
  • Participate in weekly status meeting
  • Perform other light responsibilities as assigned

  • Will need to work often on a Saturday/weekend for this position (a half work day)

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor Degree preferred, but not required
  • Prior experience in a church setting preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of volunteer ministry experience

Physical Considerations
To successfully perform the essential responsibilities of this role, the employee will need to:
  • Do computer data entry on a consistent basis (Care Tracker updates and care visit coordinating)
  • Do occasionally more walking or standing on memorial/funeral service work day
