The role of the ‘This Generation Pastor’ is to develop the staff, teams, systems and structures that guide children’s, junior high and high school ministries into clearly developed discipleship pathways that help kids and students become fully devoted holistic followers of Christ.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate the structures and discipleship pathways that help children’s and youth ministries build channels for kids and students to KNOW GOD through sound Biblical doctrine that systematically connects their daily life to a Biblical world view.
  • Define unique discipleship pathways that engage kids and students.
  • Create and implement programs that continually move and measure the progress of kids and students on their discipleship pathway.
• Oversee, evaluate, measure and adjust systems that help kids and students FIND FREEDOM as they connect with God in groups.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of groups for kids.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of groups for students.
  • Make appropriate changes to make sure all kids and students find freedom.
• Oversee the programs that are designed to help kids and students DISCOVER PURPOSE as they learn their personal gifts and how they were uniquely designed by God.
  • Oversee the process of kids learning their purpose.
  • Oversee the leadership pipelines for kids, students, and leaders in all generational ministries.
• Create systems that engage the church with young people learning to MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
  • Assess the integration of young people in the mission of Calvary.
  • Develop opportunities for young people to make a difference in the church and in the community.
  • Create leadership opportunities for young people throughout Calvary services.
• Joyfully participate in all pastoral duties as a member to the Calvary Pastoral Team, including leading well, innovating in your assigned role, and supporting the vision and mission set by the senior pastor.
