Key Responsibilities
Spiritual & Academic Leadership
- Model a Christ-centered lifestyle, fostering a culture of biblical wisdom, integrity, and service.
- Serve as the spiritual and instructional leader for grades 6–12, modeling Christ-like character and biblical leadership.
- Integrate a biblical worldview into all aspects of the curriculum and student life.
- Ensure academic rigor and faith integration in lesson planning, teaching, and assessment practices.
- Lead and facilitate weekly chapel services, devotions, and student discipleship initiatives.
- Support and participate in school-wide and community-based ministry events.
Instructional Oversight & Faculty Development
- Evaluate, mentor, and help hire secondary school faculty to promote professional growth and instructional excellence.
- Observe teachers regularly, providing actionable feedback and guidance.
- Implement best practices for curriculum mapping, differentiation, and student engagement.
- Ensure consistency in grading, assessment policies, and student support structures.
- Facilitate professional development workshops, coaching, and annual evaluations.
- Promote collaborative learning among faculty through department meetings and peer observations.
Student Discipleship, Development & Behavior
- Foster a positive, Christ-centered environment where students grow spiritually, academically, and emotionally.
- Implement and oversee discipline practices based on biblical principles and restorative approaches.
- Evaluate and grow extracurricular programs, student organizations, and clubs to foster student engagement, leadership, and spiritual growth.
- Collaborate with Athletic Director and activity sponsors to support student participation in athletics and co-curricular activities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, respect, and spiritual growth among students.
- Implement and uphold discipline policies based on biblical principles and restorative practices.
- Work closely with teachers and parents to address behavioral and academic concerns.
- Develop and oversee school-wide spiritual growth initiatives, including Bible studies, mission trips, and service-learning opportunities.
Curriculum & Program Development
- Oversee the secondary curriculum, ensuring alignment with CCS’s biblical worldview, Expected Student Outcomes, and accreditation requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend curriculum improvements, ensuring students are prepared for success in university, career, vocational, or technical fields.
- Ensure all course offerings meet state credit requirements for high school graduation and college entrance eligibility.
- Maintain accurate course catalog information, advising on academic pathways for honors, AP, dual credit, and vocational tracks.
- Collaborate with academic counselors to guide students through course selection, academic planning, and graduation requirements.
- Support initiatives that prepare students for postsecondary opportunities, including standardized testing, career exploration, and internships.
- Oversee the secondary curriculum, ensuring alignment with CCS’s biblical worldview, Expected Student Outcomes, and accreditation requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend curriculum improvements, ensuring students are prepared for higher education and vocational success.
- Collaborate with faculty to implement effective instructional strategies and technology integration.
- Maintain high standards for student learning, engagement, and performance on standardized assessments.
Parent & Community Engagement
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, policies, and school events.
- Serve as the primary contact for parents regarding academic and disciplinary concerns.
- Organize parent-teacher conferences, educational workshops, and community engagement events.
- Foster strong relationships with local churches, colleges, and community organizations to enhance student learning experiences.
Administrative & Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations of grades 6–12, including scheduling, supervision, safety procedures, and teacher meetings.
- Supervise and collaborate with the Jr. High Academic Dean.
- Work closely with the Elementary Principal and Head of School to ensure alignment of mission, policies, and procedures across divisions.
- Manage the secondary school calendar, including academic reporting periods, parent conferences, and special events.
- Organize and oversee key milestone events including Incoming Freshman Orientation, 8th Grade Moving Up Ceremony, and Senior Graduation Ceremonies in conjunction with the Head of School and Elementary Principal.
- Assist with building alumni relations, including planning alumni events and maintaining connections with graduates in conjunction with the HOS.
- Partner with the Athletics Department to promote a strong, mission-aligned sports program that supports student growth.
- Evaluate and strategically grow extracurricular programs, ensuring they align with the school’s mission and meet student interests.
- Maintain accurate student records, oversee academic reporting, and ensure compliance with accreditation and legal standards.
- Lead emergency preparedness plans, campus safety initiatives, and extracurricular coordination.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.

- Encourage and plan for the professional growth of faculty and staff members for the distinctiveness of the Christian school, improved instruction, student needs, collegial efforts, and community relationships. 33. Appraise and evaluate employees' work as stated in the evaluation schedule, keeping accurate records
- Be responsible for all joint correspondence and publications and integrated communication plans between preschool, elementary school, and high school

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership experience. Ability to inspire, mentor, and lead faculty and students in spiritual and academic growth.
- Strong personal faith in Christ, active church involvement, and alignment with CCS’s statement of faith.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively engage with parents, students, and faculty.
- Strong time-management, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to the Head of School
- Collaborates closely with the Elementary Principal and other school leaders.
- Familiar with implementing restorative practices.
- Proficiency in digital tools such as Google Suite, FACTS, and Microsoft Office.
- Must be an active member of Calvary Church
Relationships
- Supervises: 6-12 teachers, enrichment teachers, instructional aides, and intervention coordinators.
- Collaborates With: Head of School, Secondary Principal, Jr. High Academic Dean, Student Services, and Admissions.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands.
- Must be able to lift to 20 pounds and actively supervise throughout the day.
