Digital Marketing Coordinator: Social Media Focus (Full-time)

Calvary Church is seeking a highly skilled Digital Marketing Manager with a strong focus on Social Media to lead and elevate our social media presence. This role will own the full social media strategy, leveraging data analytics to inform content creation, audience engagement, and campaign optimization. The ideal candidate will be a social media expert who understands how to test and iterate on various content types and formats, ensuring alignment with industry best practices while supporting the broader digital marketing strategy.

Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Social Media Strategy & Execution (Primary Focus)
    • Develop and implement a dynamic, data-driven social media strategy that grows engagement, reach, and community connection across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and strategic emerging channels.
    • Own day-to-day social media content planning, creation, scheduling, and publishing, ensuring all content aligns with Calvary Church’s mission and voice.
    • Test and analyze different content buckets (e.g., sermons, testimonies, event promos, community stories) and formats (videos, reels, stories, graphics, live streams) to optimize engagement and reach.
    • Monitor social media trends and platform updates to keep Calvary’s social presence innovative and effective.
    • Manage marketing of podcasts and blogs on YouTube, BuzzSprout, Calvary’s website and app.
  • Data Analytics & Reporting
    • Track and analyze social media metrics and digital KPIs using tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Insights, and platform-specific analytics.
    • Generate actionable insights from data to continuously improve content strategy and audience targeting.
    • Provide regular reports to leadership and the marketing team highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Collaboration & Leadership
    • Partner closely with the marketing, creative, and communications teams to integrate social media efforts with broader digital campaigns and church initiatives.
    • Train and guide team members on social media best practices and emerging trends.
    • Engage authentically with online communities, responding to comments and messages in a timely and encouraging manner.
  • Digital Strategy Collaboration & Ownership
    • Collaborate in shaping the overall digital marketing strategy, ensuring social media efforts complement email marketing, website content, and paid digital advertising.
    • Stay current with digital marketing best practices and industry standards to maintain a cutting-edge digital presence for Calvary Church.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of proven experience managing social media for organizations, preferably in faith-based or nonprofit sectors.
  • Strong expertise in social media platforms, tools, and analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute social media strategies that drive engagement and growth.
  • Skilled in testing and optimizing various content types and formats based on data insights.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and community engagement skills.
  • Passion for Calvary Church’s mission and values, with a heart for digital ministry.

Preferred Skills
  • Skilled in photography and photo editing tools.
  • Experience with paid social media advertising and campaign management.
  • Familiarity with video production and editing tools
